in my fantasy. Just with a more unique plot than most romantasy. I want stories that feel like epic fantasy but with intimate stakes or character driven. I want to see all kinds of representation in fantasy. #MSWL

My heart will always be with any kind of fantasy! All subgenres but I've really been feeling cozy adjacent lately; think cozy but with higher stakes. I'm not looking for pure examples of romantasy with tons of tropes, but I do want romance 1/2 #MSWL

I'd love to see more cozy fantasy and science fiction with romance. Sweet or medium spicy is good for me. I tend to prefer fantasy-forward rather than romance-forward so sightly more emphasis on the fantasy plot. #MSWL

I'm opening to queries on Monday and will be posting some #MSWL thoughts today. Check my website for full guidelines but I'm open to adult fantasy, adult science fiction, adult horror, adult mystery/suspense, and young adult horror. I'm not looking for MG, most YA, or romantasy at this time.

And I'd like to see some older characters for protagonists (over 40) in SFF and younger MC in Mystery. #MSWL

An epic fantasy with smart characters and great character arcs that explores inequality in various forms. #MSWL Or an epic fantasy set in a queer normal world.

I'd love to find a science fiction or fantasy in Adult with a focus on smart politics like The Goblin Emperor or A Desolation Called Peace. #MSWL

-I have several cozy fantasy/science fiction on my list already so I'm looking for diverse cozy SFF this time. I'd love a queer cozy or BIPOC cozy fantasy or science fiction with a great romance. I usually prefer romance secondary to plot, not the whole plot. #MSWL

-I'm still looking for a fantasy or science fiction with a murder mystery plot. Should be more traditional or cozy mystery rather than a dark, crime mystery. Something light and fun with a speculative fiction setting or element.

-I'm still open to finding more self-published authors in the Adult market (SFF, Romantasy, or Mystery) who want help exploiting their retained sub-rights. Audio rights being at the top of that list. #MSWL

A quick #MSWL of genres I'm keen to see. Cozy fantasy, Romantasy in YA and Adult, and Mystery from marginalized authors.

But I will reopen to select YA genres as well. So it will be Adult SFF, Horror, and Mystery (not true crime). YA horror, thriller, and romance. No YA fantasy or science fiction or contemporary.

I've been excited to read Romantasy (not spicy) and Cozy fantasy lately. I'm still interested in epic fantasy and any 2nd world fantasy.
