Tara 💫🌌✨🔮 @Literary_TaraI'm really craving stories where the setting is the main focus. Very atmospheric and spooky. A sense of place. Or setting's that feel like home. Dripping with culture. If you can make an epic mood board for your book, I want it. #MSWL
To add to that. Boarding schools, haunted houses, creepy forests, swamps, dark caves, hellscapes, small-town adventures, underrepresented cultures, myths, and folklore based on places, clubs, secret societies, organizations. Places and communities that come alive at night. #MSWL
For Middle Grade, I am desperate for:
- Horror that would even make adults squirm.
- Themes with puzzles and riddles.
- Group of kids going on adventures in their hometown.
- Graphic novels (in YA too)!
Ok, so I love movies and stories about a group of kids going out and having adventures, so I'm looking forward to the new Ghostbusters, but have you noticed all these stories are usually all boys? Maybe one girl?
Give me an all girl cast adventure MG. #MSWL
Hi #writingcommunity! I have 9 middle-grade queries in my box right now. I WANT MORE.
Adventure, Fantasy, sci-fi, magical realism, horror, historical, everything!
Also, I am open to considering non-fiction middle-grade novels, especially LGBTQ+ and STEM for girls. #MSWL
Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE stories that have a group of 4 or more characters going on adventures, figuring out problems, or trying to save the world. MG or YA, but give me stories like STAND BY ME, SANDLOT, STRANGER THINGS. #mswl
