This is a major want: give me your nonfiction emotional intelligence books. Narrative is okay IF you are a professional and have the science and research to back it up. I want the next The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F@ck. I'd also love to see an EQ book geared for teens.

#MSWL Graphic novels of all sorts! I’m most drawn in by art that I can recognize as that artist’s in a crowd. I would love to see more GN chapter book and early reader proposals.

Workplace novels. Novels about power, control, resistance. Novels that investigate the ills of capitalism and the commodification of art. Also, speaking of art, I'm interested novels that make fresh and interesting social commentary on art, music, fashion, entertainment etc. 4/10

When it comes to taste, I tend to be drawn to visual projects & prose w/strong imagery. #mswl For I was a kid whose art school dreams were dashed early on, & the inner art kid hasn't died yet. I doodle at a pace of 1x year & am planning the next. Last year's existential lantern:

smart, beautifully written heists, cons, and scams where the personal stakes are sky-high, especially if art and culture plays a big role—PORTRAIT OF A THIEF by @gracedli is a favorite (and for context, @ScamGoddessPod is my most-listened-to podcast)

for artwork, i like a wide range—i love the grittiness of SAGA’s artwork, but also the muted tones and simplicity of KISS NUMBER 8. COVENANT and LORE OLYMPUS are two of my favorite webcomics with wildly different art styles

Non-fiction from those with a strong platform, especially written by BIPOC creators. Can be a unique perspective regarding art, science, food, current issues, mental health, etc.
