I’m fascinated with folklore, fables, fairy-tales, mythology – anything which works these elements into its narrative will definitely grab my attention, whether that’s in the crime/thriller, historical or literary space #mswl

In historical fiction, I’m looking for anything rich and beautifully-written which explores a particular time and place with real authority and feeling. For example, I just read Leila Slimani’s THE COUNTRY OF OTHERS and loved it #mswl

At the moment I’m looking for crime and thrillers, book club fiction, historical fiction, literary fiction, true crime and non-fiction written by journalists or experts in their respective fields #mswl

I'd like to see historical mysteries/crime novels, and historical romances. I'm always keen on the gothic and the hidden corners of history. #mswl

I'm very keen on modern history and would love fiction set between 1920 and 1970. I'd love to see more working class historical fiction. #mswl

In historical fiction, I'm looking for unexplored or unusual settings, and characters we don't usually get to hear from. #mswl

In general I am looking for contemporary commercial fiction, crime fiction, historical fiction and some up-market/book-club fiction. #mswl
