I want to see the nuances & consequences of deciding how & what to translate, word play between languages, times when translation falls shortHello this is QUITE like the #MSWL I tweeted yesterday! Who’s out there writing this???

YES, THIS. #MSWLI’m a multilingual person who often translates for loved ones whose first language isn’t English. It’s a whole set of social interactions and levels of access to systemic power that shape communities and conflicts.
I’d love to see this examined in #SFF. twitter.com/lindseyhall17/…

Who’s got a book where characters are playing a game and mayhem ensues? Less Jumanji, more Lauren Oliver’s PANIC. #WishLishWednesday #MSWL

It would be interesting to see an MG about a child who has to speak for their parent (whether deaf or non-English speaking) and to see what happens

@whimsicallyours @agentsaba @RaeLoverde Omg lol. I actually wasn’t a big Zutara or Kataang shipper. I liked Zutara better but Katara felt like more of a mothering/big sister tole to them than romantic to me. Which is why her thing with Aang was weird 🤢BUT BUT LOOK AT THIS
