the revenge dress sounds like the title of a page-turning novel.
you decide the genre: romantic comedy? thriller? horror?

When the transplant surgeon first broached the idea of giving the patient a pig's heart to replace his diseased one, the doctor wasn't sure the patient fully understood. Then the patient said, "Will I oink?"nytimes.com/2022/01/10/hea…Sounds like the launching point for a novel. #mswl

How do you grow up to become Senator Kyrsten Sinema, with a "Style [that] Keeps Us Guessing"?
A teen version of Sinema would make a dynamite #YA protagonist out to make her mark, dressed to win. #MSWL

. @CassandraHartt on "unlikeable" characters: "But calling characters unlikeable does not make those characters any less complexly human, nor does it make us better, wiser, or more likeable ourselves." Love this. Read the post here: thenerddaily.com/cassandra-hart…An excellent piece!
(P.S. I personally love "unlikeable" characters. I am also drawn to [and always dated] non-traditional beauty--the person no one else finds attractive, yet they are irresistible to you. #MSWL)

Little known fact about me (that often embarrassed me when I was a kid):
I grew up eating venison 3+ times per week. My father was a farmer and a hunter, and he fed our family, farm to table, range to table.
So now, I am always intrigued to receive ag/hunting stories. #mswl

In romances, if your characters are infertile, they don't need miracle pregnancy to have a happy ending. Nor does your plus size heroine need to lose a weight, your disabled character be "cured" or your plain character become hot.Let your characters find happiness as they are.
And when you write that story, please consider me. My query box reopens February 1. #MSWL

A common words in the English language today, nightmare, actually has its origins in a scary creature from Scandinavian folklore. #FolkloreThursdayA female Vette known as Mare would bring bad dreams to people by sitting on them while they slept. pic.twitter.com/42F82CLy6R
Terrifying! (And I want a book starring Mare. #MSWL)

I know seeing Bad Queer Lit Takes on Twitter gets really anxiety inducing for authors, so lemme tell you as someone who gets piles of requests for very specific queer recs every day: all the things you fear no one wants are wanted very badly by somebody. My favorite novels are literary stories focused on family, relationships, sexuality, mental illness, or recovery.
In particular, stories that explore sexuality are near + dear to my heart. I needed those stories when I was a teen (and still need/love/want them today) #MSWL

It would make a GREAT novel, and then a dramedy on HBO! Who would play the lover? Who would play the wife (she would make a GREAT protagonist)? And who is the true power player? #MSWL)

@marchsoloway @oliviaaserr It always makes me so sad to hear stories like this because big noses on women are so friggen beautiful! I grew up listening to my mom always complaining about her "wide, flat nose" and never understanding why she hated it. Hopefully moving fwd we can create an environment (1/2)Seconding this desire so eloquently stated by @cat_harman92 for all of us to "create an environment where all nose (and body types) are celebrated."
I am drawn to stories and artwork that do just that. I have these books on my list, and I would love to find more! #MSWL

#MSWL Valentine's Day is near, and I feel like falling in love.
P.S. I love a good romantic subplot that involves a triangle. As a reader, I usually like to root for the one who is supposedly less attractive, but when you get to know them, they are oh so appealing! Surprise me!
