Adult Romance: High concept stories that are just shy of bonkers are always my jam. If you have to caveat an idea with “wait, but hear me out” it’s likely that I will be interested in seeing more. #mswl

Adult Romance: Romance that sweeps me off my feet. Heroes who love hard and fast and true. I ADORE a good HE FALLS FIRST story. I also love it when HE TRIES TO SAVE HER BUT SHE SAVED HERSELF FIRST. #mswl

In YA: I’m listening to Red (Taylor’s version) on repeat—my “All Too Well” ask in the Romance section might have given me away—but a story inspired by “Everything Has Changed” would be right up my alley. Bonus points if it’s set during summer vacation. #mswl

In Romance: I also wouldn’t say no to a “tis the damn season” inspired holiday story. Doesn’t have to be Christmas either, can just be about homecoming. #mswl

In Romance: Hear me out, a second-chance romance inspired by Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well”…Like a story where the timing was all wrong, but they’re older now and maybe they needed to grow up in order to work? #mswl

In contemporary romance I’m especially hungry for a story where gender expectations are subverted, so something like a celebrity with a female bodyguard or a prince who is saved by a princess (ahem, Harry and Meghan anyone?). #mswl 4/

There are so many reasons relationships don’t work out. Adding nuance to the ex/backstory can add depth and real emotional stakes to the potential conflicts your MCs face. #mswl

#RomBkLove 2020 Day 27: Bodyguard romances. Ah, a trope I always enjoy. Two recent reads are Pop Star by Eden Finley and Royally Endowed by Emma Chase. I feel like there was a gender swapped one I really enjoyed but if there isn’t, then I’d like to #MSWL that 😂

I'd also love to see some #Caribbean/#Latinx post-Hurricane Irma/Maria stories, stories that tackle the issues head-on but in a hopeful way, with a romance or personal growth for the main characters. Also YA or Adult.
