Big fascinating SFF with a moment that grabs you by the throat, like EMPIRE OF EXILES or the forthcoming THESE BURNING STARS - or, not on my list, THE TRAITOR BARU CORMORANT or GIDEON THE NINTH.

Romantic SFF along the lines of CM Waggoner, Freya Marske, THE UNDERTAKING OF HART & MERCY, or WINTER'S ORBIT (or the secret book that will be announced v soon, hang tight)

One reason I loved The Magicians is how it reminded me of the fantasy novels I loved so much as a teen - the ones that reflected my sadness, my sense of dislocation, in a magical world that transformed the MC. Send me that in YA & MG. #mswl
