Two specific #MSWL items that will be on my list when I reopen to queries:
1, survivors of family "reunification" programs (like Building Family Bridges), fictionalized or NF accounts
2, fiction that explores the unique friendships between gay men and lesbians

How’s this for an #MSWL premise: YA romcom. Talented queer girl becomes trainee to be around girls and delay marriage by becoming a star. Right before her debut, she meets the love she’s always dreamed of, and has to choose between becoming a star or living her true dream life.

As always: I always prioritize queries from LGBTQ2S+, disabled, chronically ill, and/or BIPOC authors. That applies to ALL my asks below, and I am grateful for all of you who choose to query me.

10: Feminist and/or queer romcoms, especially non-idealized depictions of polyamory and t4t romance. I don’t have comps for these! The closest I’ve come is the work of Xan West, parts of the TRANSCENDENT anthologies, and the gender diverse pronoun ed. of CAPRICIOUS.

7: Queer books that engage with intra community conversations in all genres. DETRANSITION BABY, WILDER GIRLS.

2/ My primary focus is #OwnVoices stories by Black and/or BIPOC authors, disabled and chronically ill authors, and LGBTQ2S+ authors. I love the #SpineSquad with all my heart, but it is still a majority white group and my goal is for that to change in the future.

Well, now I'M disappointed, and fwiw, if someone queried me with this, I'd be all over it. Give me those cozy, queer-coded, futuristic sci fi retellings with cordial on the side. #MSWL

The perfect Jack and the Beanstalk, but with preppers, retelling for the modern era. Add it to my #MSWL, but make it queer, pls.
