NGL I'd LOVE a YA about a student finding out their parents did this to get them into an elite school and now the student has to reckon publicly and personally with their privilege, whiteness, and wealth + how these contributed to their own ignorance of their parents' plot. #MSWL

#MSWL I'm missing some fun YA in my inbox lately--I'd love to see some wit, excitement, and high school hijinks. Sports, competitions, dances, clubs, etc. With a few crushes/kisses thrown in, of course.

#MSWL A Queer Eye-esque YA makeover story. When I say "QE-esque" I don't explicitly mean 5 gay dudes--think a mix of genders, sexualities, perspectives, and styles! I mean a makeover that focuses on competence and confidence and emotional intelligence, not just looks.

One of my favorite books as a preteen was Amber on the Line (by Emily Marshall, part of the Going for Gold series), and Amber was a young gymnast who struggled with balancing school and her team. I would love to see something like that! #MSWL

There's often a lot of bending over backwards in YA to create alternate worlds/societies that are led by teenagers/young adults. Why not pull from real life and give me a book about riding the rails/hobo culture? I'm fascinated. #MSWL
