I'm not the right agent for fantasy novels, particularly involving too much world-building, but I'm happy to read books with a touch of magic

I'm keen for books about mothers and daughters. I love foodie settings. I'm interested in books that look put the current technological challenges, particularly in AI, in a fresh light.

I enjoy a good plot and prefer stories with a bit of pace and where plenty happens. I love novels with deeply layered characters and don't mind a protagonist who is difficult to root for.

In historical fiction, I'm leaning towards more recent stories - 20th century and beyond. I'm very keen to see underrepresented settings and characters - the kinds of stories we don't usually get to see told.

Rom-coms! I'm being slightly picky in this area as I have quite a full list, but I am still looking for incredibly tropey, spicy and laugh out loud funny rom-coms!!

I always - always - want to see high concept love stories. Relationship stories that upend tropes, play with time and space or technology, that use the tools of form and coincidence.

And I'm always looking for Big Pitch Thrillers. If your story has an idea that makes people go "wow, that sounds amazing", please send it my way.

I'd also love to see procedural series with a point of difference and elevated writing - think Dublin Murders by Tana French. (note: does not need to star a policeman, in fact could be better if it doesn't...)

I'd also love to add a few new crime writers to my list this year. I'm looking for old-fashioned murder mystery, with puzzles and clues, and maybe a good dose of sleuthing.

If it is sweeping, romantic, rural, timeless... I'd love to read it.

I love stories that have a mystery or a love story at the heart, and I'm really looking for good old fashioned storytelling, with plot and character at the heart.

I'm looking for rich and involving family drama. Secrets, multi-generational stories, long timespans, strong heroines at the centre.

Top of my wish list is book club and upmarket women's fiction. I'm interested to see anything that could fit in this genre, but a couple of specific wishes:

Vibe: "I'll always remember that summer" (summer in question is the late 60s, everyone is beautiful, lots of making out)
