I love novels (MG, YA, adult any genre) that are mostly in our world but have a single magical component that changes everything. #MSWL

I love ghosts. I especially love ghosts in novels who can do just about anything living people can do, who just happen to not be currently, well, alive. #MSWL

I'm extremely inspired by Greta Thunberg, and if you happen to have a character like her save the world, I think we could all use that about now. #MSWL

Psychology works with a clear focus, accessible language, and a narrative component, like Cringeworthy: A Theory of Awkwardness, would be of great interest to me, too. #MSWL

I'd love a middle grade that plays with how we can never be 100% sure what others are thinking--and, if it comes with something like an objective social interpretation machine, all the better.

I'm still wishing for my near-future, not-quite-human (but with very human motivations) novel with a romantic element--kind of like Her, or the podcast Sandra. Ideally it'd be smart, socially astute, funny. #MSWL

For YA, something with gorgeous sentences, scary content, and a mission--like One of Us Is Lying meets Six of Crows. (Love a heist!) #MSWL

For picture books: I want something funny, great to read out loud, and perhaps a bit surreal--like Dragons Love Tacos meets Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. #MSWL
