Also actively seeking Muslim stories, both contemporary and SFF. In particular, science fiction, as I'd love to see stories of POC we don't normally get to see having adventures in the future. Also goes for SF starring indigenous characters. #MSWL

Exception: I am starting to seek MG & YA nonfiction graphic novels with specific appeal to the school and library market #MSWL

I love SFF with strong curricular connections that would appeal to teachers/librarians incorporating them into curriculum/pairing with classics

#MSWL: MG SFF, contemporary realism, and historical fiction featuring Latinx kids from Central and South America and/or American kids whose heritage is from those areas. It's a big gap in children's lit and my list specifically.

So the #sciencefiction I want to see in my #MSWL? Smart SF that takes a diverse future as a given.

And I don't mean sidekicks either. I mean heroes. And full on casts. #sciencefiction #MSWL

And then look at demographic predictions for the next 50 or 100 years. If you're writing #sciencefiction you need a diverse cast! #MSWL
