I am not saying I want books exactly like these, or that if yours is different to these that I won't like it. I am just saying that I have loved all of these authors' books and admired their writing.

Tl;dr - I don't want to be restrictive, I might love your book, give me a go!

...like, but I can't account for how I will feel upon reading it
3. I am really rubbish at expressing my #mswl (I love reading other agents'/editors' lists!) and end up feeling like I am either not specific enough or far too specific!

Instead, I am going to list favourite (3/?)

...something like them, and I don't want to restrict what is being offered to me
2. I hate disappointing people. Recently I have seen authors saying, 'but I matched with the #mswl so why isn't it a yes?' Sure, your novel might contain something I have said I (2/?)

I am still planning to reopen to queries on 1st April and I am not going to state any #mswl. Here are my reasons:

1. I honestly never know which story is going to touch my heart and make me say yes. The novels/authors I represent? I would have been unlikely to ask for (1/?)
