Turns out a shockingly large number of those were money laundering fronts https://twitter.com/holy_schnitt/status/1665403397921554440Someone please pitch me a book about this. #mswl
I'm also looking for history. If your book could have the subtitle "a cultural history," send it on, I'm interested.
stories rooted in comedy, where the idea that the tragic ending is the sophisticated and adult one is soundly rejected. Stories about possibility and hope; stories that are fun. I really need an excellent voice as well.

I've been going through my queries recently, so I think it's time for another #mswl! The past couple of years have left me far less interested in stories where the fate of the world is at stake, and far more interested in human-scaled stories, with large and engaging casts. Stories where people try to figure out how to be the best versions of themselves,
I've just realized #mswl has my submission information incorrect. Please submit at QueryManager.com/jgoloboy. Thanks so much!
What's the quickest way for your query to stand out in my inbox? Send me some non-fiction. I'm particularly interested in representing fun history (like @GaryBohan_Jr's Sharkey). I only represent memoir for current clients, though. #MSWL

Quick #mswl: I love representing light-hearted history, and I don’t have any in my QueryManager. To be clear- I’m looking for non-fiction here. #mswl
#mswl: Don't you think the heist story Madison Ferris suggests here sounds fun? Have you written something similar in an SFF setting? Please send it on! nytimes.com/2020/08/25/t-m…

#mswl: I'm not a fan of dystopias where the heroes know they're in a dystopia. I do like dystopias that look like utopias, especially high-tech ones (Brazil, Upload).Worldbuilding that gets creepier the more you think about it is one of my favorites.
#mswl: on the other hand, I love it when the protagonist is a much better person than they think they are. People who think they don't deserve love, but actually do? Totally my kind of thing.
