#mswl request: #sff that's fun and light and voice-driven, with great characters, and maybe a little romance, and a really creative setting and plot. Send it on, folks; I'm getting caught up on my #query inbox. Bonus points if your characters get to leave their houses.

I say this every #mswl, but I never get enough hard sf. I especially like hard sf based on the unexpected sciences, like @SueBurkeSpain's Semiosis series, based on her study of botany.

I absolutely believe you can write deep, thoughtful sci-fi and fantasy with lovable characters and a happy ending. Exhibit 1: Terry Pratchett. #mswl

That said, a really cool novel about autonomous cars would be fun to see. #mswl

What I mean by hard-SF: your worldbuilding is based on an extrapolation from modern technology or scientific knowledge. This would include botany/biology/materials science, too! #mswl
