Please don't email an agency asking how to query an agency. You can google this, and most agents have so many people in their submissions who did the research on their own, too many people to go through in a timely way, that it doesn't look good, my pals. #querytip #subtip

#querytip - if you email saying your "friend" said you should get in touch with a specific agent but don't say who your friend is, it's ... not actually a referral. And maybe I don't think your friend is real. #subtip Just be yourself, pals, it's enough.

So here's a thing about your query letter - you need to tell me the plot of your book. A lot of people I've read today have told me characters' motivations or what their MC THINKS of characters, or stressors, but what's the plot? I need a through line or hook #querytip #subtip 💛
