Susan, A Ghost @GrahamophonesIf you send me a query with no text in the body of the email and just says "query" in the subject line with an attached document, I am going to delete it. 1) the barest minimum of professionalism. 2) how am I going to believe you're a writer if you can't write an email? 3) Virus.
Susan, A Graham @GrahamophonesA baby bit more inbox etiquette! If someone sends a pass on your work, please don't respond asking to recommend you to someone else. This seems rude of me to say, on its face, but imagine an agent already is usually thinking about the market & who would buy it -#subtip #querytip
Susan, A Graham @GrahamophonesI can definitely do threads about "what makes an effective query," at some pt but a lot of people get so overwhelmed by queries that they don't respond if you don't follow guidelines. So this thread today has mostly been about submissions inbox etiquette.
