A common question I get from writers is when to start querying. There isn't a perfect answer, but if you find yourself looking at your manuscript & making tiny tweaks OR getting the urge to destroy it bc you've revised it so much, odds are, it's ready. #querytip

Last night, I read ~10 queries in a row with prologues, none of which needed a prologue. Not saying that prologues NEVER work, but if you have one in your MS, really look at the purpose it serves. A short thread:

I understand mass emailing a bunch of agents seems like an easy/quick way to query but for me it's a no go. I rarely pass without reading the pages but this is the exception. Spend the time and do it right. Follow submission guidelines. #amquerying #querytip

While you’re querying one project, write something different. Write something new. Keep learning and practicing your craft. Don’t ever become satisfied. Stay hungry. You want to be a writer? That’s what writers do. Even published ones.

1) does this make sense?
2) is this appropriate for a query?

Maybe I'm the only one who has feelings about this, but friends, your turnaround to make a decision once you have an offer of rep doesn't have to be a week or even two. If an agent loves your work, they can wait for you longer. The decision needs to be right. #subtip #querytip -
