I would not ask if you can send without attaching. Don’t bog down agents with too much back & forth. #askagent

I'm not sure how this could be true - "own voice" means you're writing from an underrepresented perspective that you yourself have lived (e.g. an author with OCD writes a character who has OCD). If that's not the case, then it's not 'own voices.' #AskAgent

99.9 times out of 100, the answer is no. There's too much competition - especially in fantasy - to query with anything other than the finished piece. #askagent

The love of books. And the thrill of discovery.

Well, several nonfiction titles have been and will be selling well. Additionally, since all the pondscum is emerging from the pond, empowering voices have more fight and motivation in them. Especially underrepresented voices have taken the fight to the reactionary patriarchy.

I always think voice is so important no matter what. But, I think voice may be the by far most important in MG, because MOST adult writers fail to capture an authentic MG voice.

I would always avoid it if possible, but this one is iconic and performed all over the world, and forever and ever, so I think you are safe.

I don't get influenced by trends. I go for what I love. That has never changed.
