Of course, concept like that can’t be realized without amazing characters. So bring on characters with clear desires and high stakes, whose motivation I can feel. Characters I can love (or hate) and would want to know. #ya #mswl

This Monday morning, I’m wishing for YA with a vivid world/setting that bends the rules in its genre—whether that be genre blending or an unexpected twist to a tired trope, I want to be surprised and taken away to another world. #mswl #ya

Updated #MSWL: humorous PB's with a surprise twist, and non-fic focusing on unsung heroes (pref. #ownvoices), MG with a clear narrative arc, unforgettable characters and a strong emotional core. Stories that bring out the magic in the ordinary. And ghosts!
