Every once in awhile I receive queries the author mentions are exclusively with me. Writers: I don't require this. I assume submissions I get are also with other agents. That's totally fine! #querytip

Please do not "dare me" to request pages in your query. I don't take kindly to threats. Even passive aggressive ones. #querytip

#amquerying writers: you want your query to stand out because your premise & voice are excellent and the perfect fit for the agent, not b/c you wrote a gimmicky query. Follow basic query rules and save the creativity for your novel. #querytip

As agents we may hang onto a full manuscript for 6mo or more. The reasons are varied. But this does not mean you should wait around! Keep querying and write something new. Update us with any offers or awards. Move forward. We'll catch up. If we don't, our loss. #querytip #pubtip

If you're having issues getting your query through via email, the best way to get assistance is to send a note to my query email or to contact the office (our info is on the website). I don't accept queries in my DMs and won't open attachments from people I don't know. #QueryTip

Writers, I've already gotten a few vampire queries which is GREAT. But one word of warning: if this is a project that you've outgrown as a writer or that didn't work for reasons other than the market for vampires, it's best not to query it w/o major revision. #vampire #querytip
