#pubtip and another note for #MSWL If you see a post, do not just submit via that social media with a "I have a book for you." Go to their site, research and do it properly!

#pubtip for the AM... Agents and editors have SPECIFIC submission guidelines. Follow those. Do not try to find short cuts. Do not try do something different. This does not show your eagerness, but your lack of an ability to follow directions (or maybe read).

I can't believe I have to say this. Querying an agent and then harassing them through FB messages and Twitter DMs, especially after they've passed on your MS, is totally unprofessional and not the way to get an agent's attention. #pubtip

#pubtip If you are unclear about whether a premise works, you can always ask. Don't pitch but ask..."I have written a novel I think is Women's Fiction because the women in my house love it. Is this truly WF?"

#pubtip I am going to say this again. Do your research. I spent the weekend rejecting people who submitted projects to me that I do not represent. One submitted directly from my website where the guidelines are clear.
