Writers, saying "I know this is a terrible query, but the manuscript is really the only thing that matters" in your query...
Please don't. Especially when you choose not even to tell me a thing about your book along with that. #amagenting #querytip #amquerying

I had a dip in queries this month, 536 total as opposed to 600-700 in the past few months. Of those:

Reminder to authors that you do not need to pay someone to query for you. Sending a query to an agent shouldn’t cost you anything and as long as you Google-How to write a query-I promise you are already ahead of the game.
An email is all it takes

From an agent's perspective, a high word count can be a red flag that the project is early and in need of revision.
For that reason, if your word count is high, I strongly recommend revising before submitting.
But all is not lost...!

Writers: It is never too early to start building your platform. More important than that, though, connect with other writers, support one another, cheer each other on. The community you build today will lift you up tomorrow. #pubtip #amwriting
