@jldallow How do you prefer query letters to be structured? Word count/genre/other stats up front, right into the hook, or otherwise? For me personally, I prefer right into the hook and then stats after. However, as long as you have a good hook for your story and get me interested and wanting more, the order really doesn't matter to me. #askagent

@jldallow How important has Twitter (or any social media platform) been in helping you to find authors and manuscripts that you're excited to work with? The only writers I search for is non-fiction where having a platform is important. Otherwise, I just find clients through contests, conferences, or my query inbox. Social media is good to have, but I wouldn't pass on someone because they don't have it. Unless it's NF. #askagent

@jldallow Related topic (and if it isn't okay to ask, sincere apologies!!): If an agent's comments spurred an author to make significant changes to a full on which the agent had to pass, are agents willing to consider it again? I always wondered about that. Thanks! Was it a R&R or was it just a couple comments? Regardless, if a significant rewrite has been done, I'd take a look again. I can't promise it's what I am looking for or if I feel a connection to it, but I'm always willing to give something another shot. #askagent

@jldallow How do you feel about the uptick in βupper YAβ and why do you think NA isnβt taking off as a category (other than romance)? It seems the obvious solution, but people still appear to be steering clear of defining books as NA.The market became over saturated with NA so quickly and it fizzled out. Upmarket YA can just be considered crossover now. Iβd love to see more college aged novels. Itβs such an important time in our lives. #askagent

@jldallow If youβve requested & turned down material from a writer, are you more or less excited to see a new manuscript from them?I go through so much material that thereβs a chance I wonβt remember, but I do always like knowing if youβve sent a query or manuscript to me before. I take each new project under consideration, so thereβs no bias from my end when it comes to previous work. #askagent

@jldallow I've read that the horror genre is making a come back, but I see few new titles being released compared to other genres. Is horror a hard sell to an editor/readers? How trend driven is it? #askagentIs this in YA or adult? I think the market is slowly coming around to It again, but these are books that wonβt be published until late 2019/2020. #askagent
