Q9: YA Historical: I'm very selective about the historical YA I consider, and I'd say I'm most interested in feminist narratives from the late Victorian/Gilded Age/early 20th century; this isn't that. It has a male MC and is Civil War-era. Pass. #tenqueries

Q5: Science Fiction: This is described as tantric sci-fi. I don't know what that means. Everything I Google comes up with tantric sex & I don't think that's it, more research has me thinking it's Hindu/Buddhist ideals? I shouldn't have to think this hard abt it. Pass. #tenqueries

Q4: Science Fiction: This was addressed to @HerringAli, oopsies! No big deal, it happens, but be careful #amquerying authors some agents may auto-reject. This one is more police procedural over science fiction, which isn't the greatest fit for me. Pass. #tenqueries

Q3: Thriller: This was submitted as YA mystery, but I think it's actually an adult thriller, which I don't represent unless there is a strong romantic element, which I don't think this has. Pass. #tenqueries

Q2: Historical Fantasy: MC wakes up on page 1 it's not until you go through hundreds of queries you realize what a cliché this is. I know this is an amnesia story, but still. Pass. #tenqueries
