#askagent @CorvisieroLit If an author has self-published a #youngadult #sff novel, is it likely the author can traditionally publish a #PB? Is a pen name required?

Absolutely! Unless you are going from say a #PB to something like erotica, there is nothing to say you have to have a pen name. #askagent

@CorvisieroLit What is the estimated length of time one may take to review a full ms? I understand it varies. I have one out since July, and have nudged, but dont want to be annoying lol. #askagent

It all depends on the amount of reading we currently have to do--and client work that needs attention. I know it's difficult to wait, but we want to give the time to everyone's submissions and that sometimes takes longer.

@kissedbyink @CorvisieroLit Awesome! I recently found out that naming characters similar to your own name is typically a sign of a self-insert, and I've been worried about it ever since. Especially when my friend assumed it was a placeholder name shortened from my name 😅

For us, this wouldn't make it a "no." We might talk about changing the name down the road; however. Lol. #askagent
