If using rhyme in picture book, it shouldn’t feel forced. Word choice should still feel natural rather than grasping for a fit. #querytip

Secrets, lies, danger, adventure, consequences, special abilities = vague words if not elaborated to set your query apart. #querytip

If you already self-pubbed your book, that’s not “testing the waters for publishing” that book- it IS publishing it. #querytip
