#7 = contemporary YA. Conflict feels angsty instead of emotionally complex. PASS #10queriesIn10tweets

#6 = contemporary romance. Wow. Speechless. Pitched as "not like those other stupid romance novels." PASS #10queriesIn10tweets

#5 = science fiction. Interesting world building, but plot feels generic and too shallow for a full novel. PASS #10queriesIn10tweets

#4 = historical romance. Writing is weak (run-on sentences, etc) and conflict feels trite. PASS #10queriesIn10tweets

#3 = fantasy. Wordy and unclear world building with no strong inciting incident or pitch. PASS #10queriesIn10tweets

#1 = contemporary romance. Hook and world feel generic to me. PASS #10queriesIn10tweets

#2 = pitched as a contemporary romance. No happy ending though and not a romance trope, so wrong genre. PASS #10queriesIn10tweets
