The Hook: A one or two sentence condensation of the plot. Like a movie log line.

How should a writer handle contradicting feedback from agents on rejections for fulls? #AskAgentAs subjective feedback. Try to dig deep and see if there's a common thread in the feedback but unless three people tell you the same thing just try to improve your manuscript with what feels right. #askagent

#askagent @NerdyPam for MG and YA, what would you say is too long? Would you look at 100,000+ words or instantly be turned off?For an MG completely turned off but I'm one agent. YA I still wouldn't like it but I might read it and find areas to cut. #askagent

Do you read all query materials (synopsis, bio, etc.) before requesting? Or do you skim and request once your attention is grabbed? #askagentI skim the query for the genre and word count after reading the initial paragraph of the query and then if it's something I'm looking for I read deeper. #askagent

#askagent Is it okay to requery a #litagent if they have denied you before, but this time with a new book? #amwritingYes and even if they have denied you for one book there's no reason not to query a new one. #askagent
