When an author inserts "XXXX" for their synopsis, a required field on my QM sub form, rather than make an effort to properly answer, it says a lot about what it'd be like to work w/that author. Not having yet read their ms, I'm already starting out with a "no" in mind. #querytip

Also, if you feel this way about agents, publishing and books, whether or not you include it in your query, please do not bother querying me. I can tell you right now, if this is what you think, we are definitely not a fit. #askagent #querytip #pubtip

Before sending your ms, make sure it’s not the "track changes" version w/comments, which make it difficult to engage in the story. #querytip
