Q4: Biography of a relative who fought in the Civil War. These are usually great stories, but sadly have little national appeal. #tenqueries

Q16: Query sent after writer already received offer of rep from another, followed by "I'd prefer you," w me&others BBC'd. Pass. #tenqueries

Q15: Chick lit. Great hook and premise, stakes feel urgent and authentic, voice also witty and relatable. Partial. #tenqueries #querywin

Q14: YA Contemp. Very solid query (hook, voice, comp titles), but the dialogue in the writing lacked authenticity. Pass. #tenqueries
