Now I just have to catch up on reading all the manuscripts I've requested during #1000queries.
Oh, hey, one of those #1000queries is now a client.
Now that I've finished #1000queries, I'll have to go back and check the numbers for requests. But there won't be another #1000queries.
Q1000 women's fic or mystery? Woman is stalked & I'm not sure if she thinks it's a bad thing. Pass. #1000queries
Q999 query spends too much time on bio, not enough on describing the previously self-pubbed book. Pass. #1000queries
Q998 cozy mystery, query is jumbled and I don't love the writing. Suggests an editor and spells her name wrong. Pass #1000queries
Q997 literary, a bit of an off-kilter read, not like Sliding Doors but gives me that vibe. Request. #1000queries
Q996 mystery, not quite a cozy, not bad, but a bit too similar to a current client's work. pass #1000queries
Q995 literary, vividly drawn characters and setting, beautiful writing. And a plot! Request. #1000queries
Q994 women's historical fiction, too short and not compelling to me. pass #1000queries
Q993 query gives me every reason in the world not to read and I'm taking him up on it. pass. #1000queries
Q992 memoir, not at all an uncommon hook unfortunately. Pass #1000queries
Q991 literary, set in a horse-y world which sadly holds no appeal for me. The writing seems good though. Pass. #1000queries
Q990 mystery. I really loved the idea of this, but the writing needs so much work. Must pass. #1000queries
Q989 mystery, slow opening, voice isn't grabbing me. pass. #1000queries
Q988 women's fic, set in elementary school. Sounds like something I've seen before. Pass. #1000queries
Q987 literary w/historical & mythological qualities, a little allegorical too. Not what I'm seeking. Pass. #1000queries
Q986 YA fantasy, don't rep it. pass. #1000queries
Q985 mystery, partly told from killer POV, cool concept, execution a bit off. pass. #1000queries
Q984 mystery, prev. self-pubbed, writing not wowing me. pass. #1000queries
