#MSWL YA contemp: interesting settings! Anywhere in the world, really, just make the setting feel like a vital character in the story.
#MSWL YA contemp: I want the book you're afraid to write. I want the book that changes you for writing it. I want the book that changes *me*
#MSWL YA: contemporary! I want stories that dig deep. They can be fun, too, but mainly looking for emotional resonance. Challenged views.
#MSWL YA fantasy: the only thing I *don't* want in fantasy is paranormal (ghosts, demons, vampires, shifters, etc.) Everything else? Gimme.
#MSWL YA sci-fi: High stakes drama, some explosions, and lots of kissing. An underdog hero/heroine. Bonus points for wit and banter.
#MSWL YA: sciiiiii-fiiiiii. I don't care what the sub-genre is, send it to me. Modern day, near-future, far-future. Preferably set on Earth.
#MSWL YA: FAIRYTALE RETELLING OR REIMAGINING. Yes, I say this every time. Yes, I still want them. ANY GENRE. ANY ROMANTIC PAIRING.
#MSWL YA: Openly bisexual protagonists and/or love interests. I know they're out there. Please give them to me. Happy endings only.
At the top of my #MSWL is YA (with a strong romantic element). I want a lot of things in YA, though. Detailed tweets forthcoming.
