I have seen this so many times, I need to offer an impt #pubtip. If querying an agent who uses query manager.com, don't ignore their open categories.

People keep querying me for fiction, selecting unrelated nonfiction topics. Do NOT do this. Here's why THREAD

2/2 #pubtip. I mean, weird words, made up words, rarely heard foreign words. Really aim for a marketable title that hooks the reader.

Today's first #pubtip is this--avoid really bizarre titles. This one seems so obvious to me, but you'd be surprised...

We are hoping to feel connection w/potential clients. So, if you don't respond to a personal note from us w/warmth, it's off-putting.#pubtip
