Women

#MSWL. As women become more vocal about their experiences, I would love to find some narrative nonfiction that deals with motherhood and the often painful journey women undergo to realize this dream.

Thrillers: I'm still open to domestic thrillers and psychological suspense, but I'd love to see some that don't feature a somehow "damaged" woman as the protagonist. Where are my ordinary women? #mswl

"Multi POV, time slip or dual past/present narrative structure women’s fiction, historical, domestic suspense, or upmarket like THE ALICE NETWORK, THE SUBWAY GIRLS." @carlywatters #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

just finished my second read of Madeline Miller's CIRCE and more than ever it's making me crave beautifully told coming of age stories of strong women coming into their power #MSWL #YA

#MSWL I know I've been tweeting a lot about #YA & #MG projects, but I'm still looking for some really fabulous #WF. High concept, great voice, accessible writing. Wow me with something I haven't seen before.

"I’ve been fascinated by this actual event for a decade. Looking for a historical women’s fiction/book club book about garment district’s 1911 shirtwaist fire tragedy." @carlywatters #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

These are dark times. So for distraction & entertainment I need suspense to lose myself in, or stories that make me laugh and feel. So give me loads of suspense for mysteries, and rom coms with a twist for Women's Fiction, YA and MG. #MSWL

Just a reminder TWA is open to submissions and my #MSWL includes fiction of any kind, diverse characters, strong women. Horror, crime and thrillers. Watching Haunting of Hill House and reading my submissions from #PitDark has energized me!

Happy Friday! Eager for more adult queries - looking for contemporary, smart #womensfiction (maybe to make me cry tears of joy?!), and more psychological suspense with in-depth character dynamics within an intimate setting. #MSWL #querytip

If you have written fun, high concept women's fiction with heart and a cool hook/pitch, PLEASE SEND IT TO ME. #MSWL

Amy Elizabeth @amylizbishop · Oct 17

My updated #MSWL is up! Find it here: manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/amy-… Would love more upmarket/literary fiction from women of color and, since we're approaching Halloween, things with a bit of spook to them.

Leodora Darlington @Leodora_ · Oct 16

Jaw-dropping crime thrillers: gimme gimme gimme! I want twisty psych thrillers, unputdownable crime and would love a look at a conspiracy thriller if you're sitting on one.

I'm also hunting for moving, upmarket or quirky women's fiction, so if you have it I WANT! #MSWL #DVpit

This got me thinking can I get a romance sub with a BOSS female athlete?!? Have repped lots of male athlete romances but know the women dominating in their sport deserve love too... if the hero happens to be an athlete cool, or he could be in a totally different field! #MSWL

I also happen to have a totally empty #query inbox as of 1.00am EST, and--two months into reading #manuscripts--still am on the hunt for a good thriller, women's fiction, and adult #fantasy and #scifi. I love good espionage, puzzles, and coding, & excellent female heroes. #MSWL

Okay, it’s officially fall and last week was a lot so:

Agents, send me your proposals, your novels, your stories of badass women yearning to breathe free. My body, brain, and inbox are ready. #MSWL #MondayMood

On Monday I open to queries again. And I'd like to see some books in which girls or women burn the patriarchy to the ground. #MSWL

I would just like this book right now, please #mswl twitter.com/GraceKendallLi…

Actually, I would really just like any books featuring women of any age taking matters into their own hands and hunting down shitty men, so bring 'em on. #mswl
