#MSWL I’m drawn to high-concept commercial fiction with a literary flair! I also love a funny MG voice. I want all the YA & MG (contemporary, sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal). Yes to spooky MG and coming age. Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense, (Secular and Inspirational).

I'm also all about epic, sweeping fantasies. I'd love to see thoughtfully built, fresh-feeling worlds (bonus points if they contain rich magic systems), inhabited by complex characters. And I'm always excited to see fantasy from diverse voices! #MSWL

Also still wanting my bayou witches like Misty in AHS. Looking for realistic and well researched Voodoo/Hoodoo. Witches/Conjurers/Weilders in general, really #MSWL This can be historical, fantasy, urban fantasy, contemporary, just GIMME

MG fantasy that echoes the enchantment and wonder of a good animated film, like Coco or anything by Miyazaki. #MSWL

YA fantasy that feels grounded in a contemporary setting and focuses on the lives of teens in highly relatable ways but with magical or speculative components. But not ones that feel urban fantasy. It's a narrow window, I know. #MSWL

Unusual fantasy creatures (trolls, orcs, goblins, etc.) as the MC in an adventure fantasy. Let humans sit on the sidelines for a bit. #mswl.

And my usual SF/fantasy for any age, diverse voices, YA & MG. Contemp graphic novel/memoir. #MSWL

I could spend ages thinking about #MSWL day so I will just be succinct: in fiction still looking mainly for smart SF/F with a fresh hook, especially by/about ppl from marginalized POVs. In nonfic: ppl w/established platforms in pop culture/media, humor, social politics, history.

Haunting feminist contemporary fantasy. #MSWL

Also actively seeking Muslim stories, both contemporary and SFF. In particular, science fiction, as I'd love to see stories of POC we don't normally get to see having adventures in the future. Also goes for SF starring indigenous characters. #MSWL

Exception: I am starting to seek MG & YA nonfiction graphic novels with specific appeal to the school and library market #MSWL

I love SFF with strong curricular connections that would appeal to teachers/librarians incorporating them into curriculum/pairing with classics

In general, I rep adult mystery, romance, women's fiction, some SF/F, and upmarket projects, and love to see historical fiction across all genres. I also rep narrative nonfiction.

I am only interested in SFF if the audience is YA or MG #MSWL

#MSWL I'm still looking for this gem: Maybe a YA fantasy about the lowly shop sweeper or something? Give me a literal "nobody" and make her story remarkable w/o royalty.
