Mysteries and thrillers are a category I want to move into (particularly in YA) but I am more drawn to character driven stories than one that focus on a huge plot twist. This will likely be more commercial or upmarket fiction than strict genre mysteries. #MSWL

I would also love to see more Upmarket and Commercial/Women’s fiction (think compulsive book club fiction). I know this can be a broad category, but I am particularly drawn to books that play with power structures, friendship dynamics and odd familial structures. #MSWL

Some tropes I love: enemies to lovers, workplace romance, fake dating, whatever the opposite of small town romance is. I am also down for a supernatural element and love the current contemporary/paranormal mashup we are seeing! #MSWL

I am especially looking for Queer romance and romance featuring disabled people! I have been getting more of these in my inbox but not NEARLY enough. Please send me them. #MSWL

Romance—way more of it! Rom-Coms so funny that make me snort out my coffee, historicals with so much tension I want to pull my hair out, adventure/caper romance that takes me on a nailbiting ride or presents me with a mystery to solve. #MSWL

I'm really hoping to see more queries that touch on disability in my inbox. This can be MC's with disabilities or books that are written by disabled authors. Whether it is the focus or just one aspect of your book and I want to see disability in all genres and ages! #MSWL

I still love and rep kidlit! Currently I'm hoping to see more NF in the teen and tween space. I'm always interested in the well researched historical period type project, but am also hoping to see new formats and takes on trade NF! #MSWL

On the book club side, I love stories about toxic female friendships, family sagas with the layers and humor of a prestige soap opera, and novels that skirt the line between commercial WF and thrillers. #MSWL

I am particularly hoping to see more fat heroines and true body positivity on my romance list! There is so much great out there and I want to keep it going! #MSWL

I like to say that my taste is "fluffy with a bite to it", I need that HEA/HFN but I love to be challenged in my worldview in some way. #mswl

Highest on my #mswl is Romance and WF/Book Club Fiction. In Romance I like tropey, character driven books with a feminist bite and a big hook.

Maybe I've been watching too much hallmark, but I am hungry for the anti-"career gal goes back home to a small town find herself" romance. Please send me your romance set in big cities, with our big charm, bigger antics and swoony (but yes sometimes grimy) settings! #mswl
